The iPhone 17 ships a 6.3-inch panel at 1206×2622 — 458 pixels per inch, refreshing at up to 120Hz with ProMotion. Like most modern phones, it renders the interface at a scaled-down logical resolution, so websites see a much smaller viewport than the panel's native pixel count — that's the device pixel ratio at work.

With the iPhone 17, ProMotion 120Hz and the always-on display finally reached Apple's non-Pro line. The panel also grew to 6.3 inches, matching the 17 Pro — the first year base and Pro shared both size and refresh rate.
