1920 × 1080 vs 1920 × 1200
Full HD 1080p against WUXGA, side by side.
1920×1200 renders 230,400 more pixels than 1920×1080 — 11% more. They differ in shape too: 1920×1080 is 16:9 while 1920×1200 is 16:10, so windows and video fit differently.
The same width with 120 more rows — about one browser toolbar's worth of document, spreadsheet, or code. That's exactly why 16:10 took back the premium laptop market. For video the extra rows become slim black bars; for work they're pure gain. Given the choice at similar money, take 1200.
